REALTOR® Voices Heard Loud and Clear at 2024 Day at The Dome

February 20, 2024

Last week, members of the Atlanta REALTOR® Association, along with over 800 REALTORS® from across the state, participated in the Georgia REALTORS® Association's Annual Day at The Dome. This event is a significant tradition and a crucial part of GAR's advocacy endeavors. During the conference, Atlanta members had the opportunity to meet with several representatives from our local delegation, including Rep. Shelia Jones, Rep. Betsy Holland, and Rep. Deborah Wilcox. During these discussions, attendees focused on various issues about increasing access to affordable, workforce housing, the preservation of private property rights, and protecting Georgians from real estate scams and predatory practices.

In addition to meeting with our legislative delegation, Atlanta REALTORS® walked to Atlanta City Hall for a meeting with Atlanta Council President Doug Shipman. President Shipman held discussions with members regarding the housing priorities of the City, the forthcoming update to the Comprehensive Development Plan, and the rewriting of the Zoning Code.
