How do I become a Member?

The Pickens County Board has 3 different memberships: REALTOR® (person holding an active real estate or appraisal license), REALTOR Emeritus® (40+ years of REALTOR® membership) and Affiliate (non-licensed individual). For more information on membership types and fees, click here.

To become a member, you will need to complete an application and pay the appropriate membership fees. Additionally, REALTORS® must complete new member Code of Ethics (COE) Training within 6 months.

How do I complete an Application?

You have 2 ways to submit your application:

  1. Online - Please use the online application link to the right to apply for membership.
  2. Mail - Download the appropriate application and mail to:

When mailing the application, don't forget to include payment information and your signature. The application cannot be processed without this information. Once you receive a welcome email, you will then be able to register online for an upcoming orientation session using the username indicated.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES & FEES

In order to join the Association, you will need to pay the prorated amount of your membership fees and an application fee. PCBR's, GAR's and NAR's fiscal cycles run January 1 - December 31.

REALTOR® Member

$495/yr

A REALTOR® is defined as an individual who holds an active real estate or appraiser's license.

REALTORS® also hold membership with the Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).

An Affiliate is an individual who does not hold an active real estate license, but has interests in the real estate profession.

Affiliates also hold membership with the Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR).

SUBMIT a completed application with the appropriate membership fee.

Becoming a REALTOR®

A real estate agent is a REALTOR® when he or she becomes a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS®, The Voice for Real Estate, the world's largest professional association. The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics. When you join a local REALTOR® association, you automatically become a member of that association's state association and the National Association of REALTORS®.

Use of the term REALTOR®

It is important for all the Board's members to review their current usage of the term and make sure that it is done in a proper manner and is not in violation of the trademark.
