Access to Board Office Facilities
The facilities at the Board Office include the Research Room, conference rooms, and our school, The Georgia Institute of Real Estate. We share facilities with the Atlanta Board of REALTORS® and the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS® which provides you with additional staff and materials. Banquets, Events, Parties
You will receive invitations to events including Million Dollar Club Awards Ceremony, Annual Picnic, Community Service Events Monthly Luncheons and the Annual Holiday luncheon.
Credit Union
You will be given the opportunity to belong to Georgia’s Own Credit Union. This program is offered exclusively to members of the Pickens County Board of REALTORS®.
Awards
You may be nominated to receive the Affiliate of the Year Award and REALTOR® of the which is presented at the Annual Holiday Meeting in December.
Mailings and Publications
You will receive monthly e-newsletters. You will be notified on a regular basis regarding all Board functions. Your dues also provide you with membership in the Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR), which has over 40,000 members. GAR sends every member a copy of their publication, Georgia REALTOR® several times throughout the year.

Sponsorships for various Board events are available to Affiliate members.

Prestige
The term REALTOR® may only be used by licensed real estate brokers and salespeople who are members of a REALTORS® Association and pledge to honor a nationally recognized Code of Ethics.
Founded in 1977 and with over 75 members, membership in the Pickens County Board of REALTORS® allows you to be part of an Association that takes pride in these standards.
Education
Membership provides you with tweleve (12) hours of free Continuing Education classes each year through the Georgia Institute of Real Estate (GIRE) and access to many of the leading designations in the country.
Among these coveted Designations offered by GIRE, are the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). By furthering your education, and achieving a REALTOR® designation, a commitment to excellence is noted by other REALTORS® and the public.
Governmental Affairs
Membership in the Pickens County Board of REALTORS® makes you part of one of the most powerful and influential grassroots lobbying efforts in the country. Keep abreast of the latest local, state and federal real estate issues affecting the industry; and become involved.
Professionalism
REALTORS® separate themselves by abiding by a Code of Ethics that was first adopted by the association in 1913. REALTORS® pledge to uphold these ethical and professional standards.
If a dispute arises between REALTOR® members of the board concerning commission, then arbitration may be evoked. A Professional Standards Panel, comprised of members who are actively involved in real estate, hear and make recommendations on matters involving complaints of unethical conduct and arbitration matters.
Community Service
The Board has a history of supporting the local community. Each year, the Pickens County Board of REALTORS® participates in several activities and charitable events.

Realizing that networking is a vital part of a successful career in real estate, the Pickens County Board of REALTORS® provides you with numerous opportunities for the entire real estate industry to come together.

Recognition
A fundamental initiative of the Board is to recognize the membership for their many achievements and to promote the outstanding professionalism and success of the members. The prestigious Million Dollar Club was established to recognize agents and brokers for their volume production and outstanding and noteworthy transactions.
